I saw it yesterday. I thought it was really well done. It was a little long, like it dragged just a bit (but that could be because I know what was to happen, I'm the same way with Harry Potter movies). I agree with you on K Stew's Bella this time around - much better.

I don't know if I have a favorite Twilight book. This one I read in a day. It had me on the edge of my seat because I was DYING to know when Edward came back into the picture, because he HAD to! EDWARD!

Anyway, this was MUCH BETTER than Twilight.

I, um, cannot stop thinking about this movie. Time to drag Bart off to see it with me.

I'm so surprised to hear that New Moon was your favorite - it seems like it's rarely the most popular (maybe just behind Breaking Dawn).

Your Newsies comment made me laugh out loud. So true!

I saw it on Saturday and even though it was probably my least favorite Twilight book (well, actually Breaking Dawn was my least favorite), I agree with all of your opinions here. I actually thought K-Stew looked PRETTY in this one! Something about her eybrows and hair I think.

I loved this movie so much more than Twilight. Now, we just have to wait until June to see Eclipse!

I SO wanted to text you last week right after I got out of the theater. I have all the same complaints at you (seriously, WHY THE SPARKLE?! And dude, JASPER.)

I have to admit that I HATED the way they showed Bella "seeing" Edward. It was just a floating head. CREEPY. I agree that I'm not sure how they could have done this...but a floating head?

Oh, and no mention of looking at all the toned, dark chests of the wolves and then seeing skinny pale gross Edward's chest? I felt horrible for Robert Paz in that scene. (Rumor has it his ab's were airbrushed on.)

While the movie was made better then "Twilight", I still think it was pretty bad. When a movie is making the kind of money this franchise is, you'd think they'd give the audience more.

One thing that I absolutely LOVED about this movie was the Victoria scene. I thought everything about it was perfect. First, Rachelle LaFevre is made to be Victoria, she's gorgeous, amazing, and I am really heartbroken that she'll be replaced in subsequent films. The scene where the wolves chase her through the forest is one of my absolute favourites from this movie. I completely agree with you in that I liked the soundtrack from Twilight overall much better, but the track that plays during the wolves/Victoria scene, Hearing Damage by Thom Yorke, is one of my favourites.

It's only "atrocious and awkward," and "129 minutes too long" if you haven't read the books or hate the Twilight series going into it. If both those things apply, why see the movie in the first place.

Nowhere in this post does anyone use the words "atrocious" or "awkward" or say that the movie was 129 minutes too long. If neither of these things apply, then why leave a comment in the first place.

It advances the story and we learn more about the vampire higher ups and the rules put in place to have peace in the vampire community. The werewolf story was good but it was weak in other spots.I say see it if your a fan but don't expect to be WOWed as I doubt you will.
