My answers are: Yes, once, and no.

Also: you poor thing. Government bureaucracy at its best/worst.

My answers: Yes, once and yes. It was also an attempted murder case and it was fascinating. I wish I had blogged about it because my memories are a bit hazy now. But I do remember it involved a man named Frog and two brothers - one was shot seven times, the other 11 or some ridiculously high number like that.

I've only been called once, and I got out of it just by writing a letter saying that I already had a vacation planned. I mean, I never "officially" got out of it, but I didn't get arrested for not showing up, sooo....

But this is seriously ridiculous. It is stories like these that make me want to get super rich so I can buy an island and rule it myself and pay taxes to me.

I was summoned for jury duty once, when I was 19 at my mom's address. But because I had moved to a different county and re-registered to vote in said county, I didn't have to go.

In the last 8.5 years I have not once received a jury summons. Awesome.

Congratulations! Once more and you're eligible to become a judge!

I'm going to go ahead and admit that I have never been summoned for jury. Husband was summoned this year but after they got his survey thing back, he got t letter in the mail that basically said that they weeded him out. I know he really wanted that $12 for the day's work.

Oh, the court system... bureaucracy at its finest!

I have never been called for jury duty. Neither has my husband.

ARRRRGH!!!! Just reading your account of that discussion is making me all twitchy.

I was called once for jury duty and did not have to serve. Just typing that likely means my next summons is in the mail.

I should be careful next time.

I'm really happy that you've made your own website and have factually publish your thoughts. I like your work and feel I can relate to what you've done. Most people can't even imagine having such talent. I hope that you know how lucky you are. :) Good luck to you in all your aspirations. :)
